Top-Down Sweater Construction Nov 6 6-8pm EST
A 2 hr class giving an overview of various sweater types using top-down construction (drop shoulder, set-in sleeve, circular yoke, saddle shoulder, raglan, and compound raglan). We will explore fit considerations for each sweater type as well as how to modify to suit to personal taste and preference. We'll do some knitting on a version of a set-in sleeve cap (this will require a bit of homework...just a small amount of knitting) as well as a mini-drop-sleeve sweater which will also give us some experience with short rows.
Fun With Miters Nov 7-11-1pm EST
Triangle garter shawls are fun and easy to knit, but there is so much more we can create with them! In this 3 hour class, we explore ways to use knit triangular and square shapes to create differently shaped shawls and even a circular, seamless cowl. We'll begin working a cowl from mitered triangles together and work a neat construction trick for joining it in the round while still working flat

Faux Bri-Aux Nov 8 2-4pm
Do you love the look of brioche knitting but can’t keep your "brk" and "brp" stitches straight? In this two-hour hands-on workshop, learn how to work several super-squishy—and fun! —stitch patterns that look like brioche without the fuss!
Class Supplies Three homework pieces with the yarn still attached; class handout printed and ready to go; size US 7 or 8 knitting needles; size US 7 or 8 circular knitting needle; split ring stitch marker; smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn in at least 3 colors.
Celtic Cables Nov 7 2-4pm
Learn how to use basic cabling techniques to create Celtic inspired panels and motifs. (Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but these gorgeous cables are much easier to knit than they look!)
Class Supplies: Two homework swatches; class handout printed and ready to go; smooth worsted weight yarn in solid, light colors, preferably wool; appropriate knitting needles; two size 6 double-pointed needles; sticky notes.
Homework for both classes will be sent with your Registration Confirmation Email!
Asymetrical Shawl Design Nov 14 11-1pm EST
In this class you will learn a simple pattern formula that’s easy to follow for creating your unique shawl design. We will focus on how to properly combine stitches and joining color in creating your own unique shawl design.
Skill requirement: Must know basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, cast off).
Skill Level: Intermediate
Materials needed: your choice yarn (two skeins or 450 yds), 24” circular knitting needles that correspond to your yarn weight.
Homework: None
Design your own Convertible Hat-Hat and Cowl in one Nov 14th 2:30 to 4:30 EST
Just in time for Holiday giving-- Learn how to design your own version of Louis’ “Bushwick convertible” Hat/Cowl design. Louis will teach you his formula on how to make this two in one design. You will learn how to incorporate different stitch patterns to make your own unique convertible. Best part of this class is that it knits up quick.
Materials:
- Super Bulky yarn, 90-100yds( Malabrigo Rasta).
- US 13 and US 15 circular needles (16”) or DPN’s
Stitch marker.
