September 18-21, 2025

From a stunning coastal Maine campus, Haystack provides time and space to engage with materials, to develop new ideas and to work in a creative and supportive community.

Located on Stinson Neck and built on a cliff, overlooking Jericho Bay in the Atlantic Ocean, Haystack’s campus is located on forty, wooded acres in the small island community of Deer Isle, Maine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at peacetreefiberadventures@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is nestled in the woods on Deer Isle in Maine. It is a 3.5 hour drive from Portland Maine and 90 minutes from Bangor.

All classes, selected accommodations, all meals from Thursday lunch to Sunday breakfast, class fiber supplies, fun, laughter and community!

Plan to arrive by 11am on Thursday. We will begin with a delicious lunch followed by getting settled. We will jump into our first class before the dinner bell rings at 6:30.

The food at Haystack is prepared on site and is DELICIOUS! They will accommodate dietary needs to the best of their ability but they regularly provide gluten fee and vegetarian options. The food is locally sourced and prepared with love.

Haystack accomodations are simple but comfortable. All beds are twin size. You do need to bring sheets, pillowcase and towels. An extra blanket is helpful if the weather is colder. Toiletries are also a must. There is a small store on site if anything is forgotten and I bring extra just in case.

Maybe? If there is a need for one, I will arrange it for an additional fee.

No need - we have everything right there! Vendors will be in on Saturday for shopping opportunities.

Yes - and certain areas have WiFi.

There isn't - however, we have been very comfortable in years past. It is delightful.
